A few months ago, I received an inquiry from Rev. Austin Wright of the Jamaican Constabulary Chaplain branch who was interested in a CPCA membership. I encouraged Austin to connect with the ICPC since they are set up as an international body that provides training and promotes membership around the world. While Rev. Wright has begun the process of membership with the ICPC, he remained adamant in his pursuit of enrollment in an online CPCA Core course. A few weeks ago, he commenced studies in our Core course of "Ceremonies, Events, and Line of Duty Death Funerals," presented by Calgary PS Head Chaplain Dr. Miriam Mollering. He worked with Miriam and successfully completed all components and requirements of the course. On behalf of the CPCA Leadership Team, I offer congratulations to Rev. Austin Wright for the time and effort he put forth to earn a Core course certificate from the CPCA.
These are the words Rev. Austin Wright shared with me regarding the completion of the course; "Thank you so much, appreciate your organization. Dr Mollering was very good; her presentation was very informative and profound with a lot of information. I am so proud of myself ... and will be doing more CPCA courses I am pleased to be a part of this wonderful program thanks again Blessings." A few days ago, Austin enrolled in another CPCA Core course - "The Role and Value of the Police Chaplain" presented by Dr. Francis Mpindu. All the best to you Austin in your studies, and your pursuit of membership and future training with the ICPC.
Warmest regards,
Chaplain/Constable Bruce Ewanyshyn
