This past Saturday, many Brandon PS officers current and retired gathered to celebrate the life of Cst. Greg Anderson. As the Officiant, I had the privilege of sharing the encounter Greg had with God when he gave his yes to Jesus on Aug 27th 2022. We know Greg is in a glorious place with his God after a valiant three-year fight against cancer. During his final days, I had the honor of getting to know his beautiful daughter Desiree and a couple of his brothers. An Honor Guard of 20 officers were organized and directed by BPS Cst. Latreille. A light hearted yet deeply moving eulogy was given by Greg's friend retired S/Sgt Guy Roberts. BPS Chief of Police Wayne Balcaen shared from his heart and read "A Hero's Welcome." Greg's brother Wayne shared precious incite from Greg's youth that brought understanding of how Greg was prepared in advance to be a police officer of excellence in character, tenacity and dedication. We find joy now in the knowledge that Greg has been made whole and know we will see him again in Heaven.
