Last evening in Ottawa, CPCA Member Chaplain George Madden who is the RCMP "K" Division Chaplain Coordinator, received this prestigious award. On behalf of all the CPCA family of police chaplains, congratulations George for recognition of a job well done. We are proud to have you as an active member of the Canadian Police Chaplain Association; thank you for your service - CPCA President Bruce Ewanyshyn.

Here are the words of Alberta RCMP Commanding Officer Curtis Zablocki:

"Last night I had the honour of presenting Alberta RCMP Chaplain George Madden (centre) with the Public Service Award of Excellence at a ceremony in Ottawa. I was also joined by Dan McBride, Manager of the RCMP Chaplaincy Program. This is a highly prestigious and honoured award, recognizing those who exemplify respect, integrity, stewardship, professionalism and service to Canadians. Since he joined us in 2017, George has worked tirelessly to bring diverse and inclusive spiritual wellness supports to the employees of the Alberta RCMP, representing over 20 different faiths. I am extremely lucky to have George on the Alberta RCMP team, and I am proud of him and all he accomplishes here in Alberta. On behalf of us all at the Alberta RCMP, congratulations George!"
